King Charles III Coronation

Today we celebrated the upcoming coronation of King Charles III. Our day started with an assembly to find out about the coronation and for the House Captains to launch their next challenge 'The Big Help Out'. Information about this has been emailed out today. Each class then went to explore a different Commonwealth Country ready to present their findings in an assembly at the end of the day. This reminds us of the importance of the coronation to countries across the globe.

Every child in school has also written or drawn something to add to a time capsule which will be buried in the school grounds for 20 years. Some children shared their favourite things, some wrote about what they would like be when they grow up and some imagined what the world would be like in the future. These will be added to the time capsule along with photographs of our day and information about Wood End Primary in 2023.

Lunchtime continued the celebration with a picnic party in the hall before different sporting and art activities in the afternoon. This has definitely been a day to remember! I
