Sport at Wood End

Virtual Sports Day 2020

For the last week of term, we are running the very first Wood End Virtual Sports day!  There are 10 events to take part in, and everyone who takes part will be given a certificate!

Below are some files explaining the events, as well as some videos of the Wood End staff demonstrating some the games for you (some do better than others!)

Submit your scores to your teacher by Thursday 24th July.

We hope you have fun with the games, and look forward to seeing some photos and scores!

The competition over the next two weeks is Olymp-Mix. It consists of 4 sporting activities and running along side it is an art competition.

All results need to be submitted to your class teacher by Thursday 9th July.

Hope you have lots of fun completing them.
This weeks competition for school games  is Basketball. There are two different challenges which vary slightly depending on which year group you are in.

The challenges are really fun and easy to set up. If you do not have balls to complete the challenges they have given alternative solutions such as using toilet rolls.

Once you have completed the challenges, send your results to your class teacher and Mrs Stallard will submit all of the entries.

Entries need to be in by 10 am on Friday (19th June)

Schools games are awarding prizes for the top scores across Warwickshire.

Best of luck everyone.

Intra-School Cross Country

Well done to everyone that took part in the Cross country competition. Everyone was determined to complete the course. There was some good team work, pupils were cheering each other on and supporting each other when we needed that little push.

I am looking forward to getting the results and announcing the winning House in assembly.

Next time we will have to see if we can beat our personal best!
